Izimbya Lutheran Hospital is a Council Designated Hospital for the Bukoba District Council, in Kagera region in the North Western part of Tanzania. The hospital is a non profit making hospital owned and run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, North Western Diocese in partnership with the Bukoba District Council.
The approved beds for hospital are 120, but the current operating beds are 96.The hospital services include curative and preventive thus the hospital renders services of a general hospital and some specialized services in Obstetric and Gynecology’s.
