Description The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) was founded in 1963 and is one of the largest Christian denominations in Tanzania. The church has a membership of approximately 8.5 million Lutherans. It operates across 28 dioceses and over 5,000 congregations, supported by more than 2,500 pastors and 7,265 evangelists KKKT- MARATHON Goal Beyond its faith-based mission, the KKKT- Marathon serves as a platform to support the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children, youth, and those in need. The Marathon will further offer a platform to promote health and wellness, foster community engagement, and support education, youth, and community empowerment. The KKKT-Marathon aims to mobilize financial resources of Tsh 500,000,000/= to support the following: i. Provide health insurance to 1,500 orphans and vulnerable children with chronic diseases such as Cancer and HIV ii. Provide renovation and assistive devices to 327 children in Mwanga Viziwi Primary School and Njombe Viziwi Primary School and Secondary School.
