The Health and Diakonia Directorate recently visited seven schools and two hospitals within the North Western Diocese under the Vunja Ukimya Project. The goal was to evaluate how well these facilities are delivering crucial youth services, including: Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) & life skills, Adolescent sexual and reproductive health care, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Violence Against Children (VAC) prevention, and Psychosocial and youth-friendly support.
Ultimately, these visits aimed to strengthen health and education networks. This ensures better mentorship, stronger referral systems, and safer, more inclusive environments for young people.
